After Legislative Success, Takaichi Faces Public Confidence Test

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi concluded the country's 158-day parliamentary session after successfully securing passage of all 64 Cabinet-sponsored bills, but analysts say her next challenge will be maintaining public confidence.

According to Kenji Yoshida of The Japan Times, Takaichi's ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and its junior coalition partner, the Japan Innovation Party (JIP), also advanced several key policy commitments, particularly on institutional reform and national security.

The legislative achievements underscore the stability of Takaichi's new coalition government.

However, political observers say the prime minister's long-term success will depend on whether voters feel tangible improvements in their daily lives through her administration's policies.
