Biden Urges Nations To Unite Against Russian Aggression

In his address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), U.S. President Joe Biden urged nations to unite against Russian aggression and emphasized the need to stand against the deliberate aggression of Ukraine by Russia.

He argued that allowing Ukraine to be dismembered would raise questions about the guarantee of independence for all nations.
President Biden stated that Russia believes the world will eventually tire of opposing its actions in Ukraine but questioned whether member states could feel confident in their protection if core principles of the UN Charter were abandoned to appease an aggressor.
To support Ukraine, President Biden has sought a package of $13.1 billion in additional military aid and $8.5 billion for humanitarian support.
He also addressed climate change, highlighting the recent heatwaves, fires, floods, and droughts that have affected various regions worldwide and warned about the consequences of not reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Furthermore, President Biden called on the United Nations Security Council to "authorize now" the deployment of an international force to Haiti to assist local police in combating gang violence, stressing the urgency of the situation in Haiti.
These statements reflect the U.S. government's stance on addressing global security challenges, climate change, and international crises through diplomatic channels and international cooperation.
