Boeing Secures $2.38 Billion Contract For 15 USAF KC-46A Tankers

Boeing has secured a $2.38 billion contract from the US Air Force (USAF) for the construction of 15 additional KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling tankers as part of the Lot 11 procurement, Reuters reported.

The deal adds to Boeing’s portfolio of 168 KC-46A tankers on contract globally. Since 2019, the aerospace giant has delivered 89 KC-46As to the USAF and four to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
The KC-46A Pegasus, a military aerial refueling and strategic transport aircraft, has been operational for global combat missions since 2022. In October, the tanker was deployed for its first full-scale mission, further solidifying its role in military operations.
