Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said the Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Windsor and Detroit is expected to open soon.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled in the near future, while the bridge is expected to open to traffic later this month.
The bridge, jointly owned by Canada and the U.S. state of Michigan, is expected to become a key trade and transportation route between the two countries.
Officials say the crossing will play a major role in cross-border commerce and regional economic activity.
