Journalist and author Kurt Andersen argues that Donald Trump’s entertainment-driven political style may be losing effectiveness with the public.

Speaking on The Daily Beast Podcast with Joanna Coles, Andersen noted that Trump’s appeal has long been tied to his unconventional and theatrical political persona.

Andersen, author of Fantasyland, said Trump’s influence has often been reinforced by his unfiltered communication style, including social media posts and provocative public statements.

However, he suggested that this approach may no longer have the same political impact it once did.

As an example, Andersen referenced recent policy proposals and cultural initiatives that have struggled to gain traction or broad support. One such proposal, a reported “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” faced political resistance and did not advance.

He also noted uncertainty surrounding planned national cultural events, though details about cancellations or program changes remain subject to ongoing reporting.
