AboitizPower’s retail arm fuels DITO Telecommunity’s 5G expansion with a 13.8-megawatt energy partnership, linking sustainability with digital transformation.

When connectivity meets clean energy, the result is progress. That spirit defines the new partnership between AdventEnergy Inc., the retail electricity supply arm of Aboitiz Power Corporation, and DITO Telecommunity, the country’s newest major telco.

During the ceremonial signing, AboitizPower executives led by Gina Camacho-David, James Yu, and Sabin Aboitiz join DITO Telecommunity’s top officers Ernesto Alberto, Atty. Adel Tamano, and Ret. MGen. Rodolfo Santiago to formalize a partnership energizing 1,642 DITO cell towers through AdventEnergy’s Retail Aggregation Program.

Together, they are energizing 1,642 DITO cell towers across Luzon—an aggregated demand of 13.8 megawatts (MW) — to keep millions of Filipinos connected through faster, more reliable digital networks.

The collaboration is made possible through the Energy Regulatory Commission’s Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), which allows companies with multiple facilities to combine their electricity demand and access the competitive retail market.

For DITO, this means gaining flexibility and efficiency in its operations — two ingredients vital to sustaining its rapid nationwide growth.

Powering towers across Greater Manila, North, and South Luzon, AdventEnergy helps strengthen DITO’s 5G backbone, now serving over 15 million subscribers.

The partnership also enables the telecom firm to channel savings from competitive power rates into further improving customer experience and expanding coverage in emerging areas.

“Reliable power is the lifeline of the telecommunications industry,” said DITO President and CEO Ernesto Alberto, describing the collaboration as “an investment that keeps millions of Filipinos connected, informed, and empowered in today’s fast-paced digital world.”

For AdventEnergy President James Yu, the partnership is a showcase of innovation and purpose. “At AdventEnergy, we believe innovation should always be at work to support the industries that keep Filipinos in touch and our nation moving,” Yu shared.

Behind this alliance stands the broader Aboitiz Group, whose President and CEO Sabin Aboitiz underscored that sustainability is central to its mission. “We are not only delivering reliable and sustainable energy but also synergizing to create solutions that benefit generations to come,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, DITO Chief Revenue Officer Atty. Adel Tamano emphasized that with AdventEnergy’s support, the company is better positioned to deliver reliable digital services while caring for the environment.

In an era where energy powers innovation, the AdventEnergy–DITO partnership tells a bigger story: one where power, technology, and sustainability merge to connect a nation and light the path toward a more digital, inclusive Philippines.
