Paramount Skydance Corp. Chief Executive David Ellison is preparing a sweeping leadership overhaul at Warner Bros. Pictures ahead of the closing of the company's $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., Luke Juricic reported for Investing.com.

Under the proposed structure, Paramount Pictures chiefs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein will assume operational oversight of Warner Bros. Pictures once the transaction closes.

The executive transition marks a significant consolidation of management across the combined entity, which will be renamed Skydance Corp.

The leadership shuffle signals the end of Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy's tenure leading the Warner Bros. film studio.

Despite renewing their contracts last October following early turnaround efforts at the studio, neither executive is expected to join the merged company, according to Bloomberg.

Ellison has also reaffirmed his commitment to DC Studios, holding high-level strategy meetings Thursday with co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The creative duo, who are spearheading a 10-year strategic roadmap for the comic-book label, are expected to remain with the business under their existing contracts, which run through April 2027.

Management's focus on the comic-book franchise was highlighted earlier this year when Ellison, along with Chief Financial Officer Dennis Cinelli and Chief Strategy Officer Andy Gordon, visited the Atlanta set of DC's upcoming Superman sequel.
