Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son, tested positive for the coronavirus. He is asymptomatic and has quarantined since Monday, a spokesman said, New York Times reported.

Mr. Trump is the president’s second son to test positive for the virus. Barron Trump, the president’s son with Melania Knauss, tested positive last month. In July, Mr. Trump’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, had also tested positive for the virus. President Trump tested positive for the virus in October.

In recent months, Mr. Trump’s eldest son has questioned the seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic, saying in a Fox News interview that since deaths from the virus had dropped to “almost nothing” the outbreak had come under control, which was not true.

Since then, coronavirus cases rose in 41 states, with heavily-Republican Midwest states getting the worst surges.
