Ahmed Elimam reported for Reuters that this ambitious endeavor comes with a staggering price tag of 128 billion AED ($34.85 billion). The new terminal, set to be the largest in the world, will have a capacity to accommodate up to 260 million passengers.

This is an impressive five times larger than the current Dubai International Airport.

Sheikh Mohammed revealed that all operations at the existing Dubai airport will gradually transition to Al Maktoum in the coming years. Furthermore, the new terminal will boast 400 gates and five runways, underscoring Dubai's commitment to remain at the forefront of global aviation.

This monumental project underscores Dubai's relentless pursuit of excellence in infrastructure development and its unwavering ambition to maintain its position as a premier global aviation hub.
