The company stated that the bulk of this CapEx will be for its whisky business, particularly for the expansion of its Dalmore distillery in Scotland, which is scheduled to be completed in the latter half of 2024, noting that the expansion will double the capacity of the current distillery.

It has also started expanding its maturation complex in the town of Invergordon where the company is building more warehouses for whisky aging to house the additional liquid to be produced by the larger Dalmore distillery.

The company further said that the CapEx will also partly fund the sustainability goals of its subsidiary Whyte and Mackay to be carbon neutral by 2030. Distillery upgrades will be made to make operations more efficient and sustainable, it underscored.

Among Whyte and Mackay’s sustainability projects are an anaerobic digestion bioenergy center and a biomass boiler system.

A smaller portion of the CapEx will be used by the brandy business for upgrades in machinery and equipment to ensure consistently smooth and efficient operations.
