Forbes has introduced its first Agentic 20 list, highlighting companies and projects working on AI agents—systems designed to carry out tasks and take actions rather than simply respond to prompts.

The list, reported by Danielle Chemtob for Forbes Daily on October 8, 2026, focuses on a range of applications, from personal assistants to infrastructure that helps AI agents browse websites and complete transactions.

The draft identifies Meta's Muse assistant and Instinct, described as handling $1 billion in annual transaction volume, primarily through travel-related requests.

It also cites Atarraya, whose assistant is designed to help workers manage shrimp farms operating in shipping containers.

These examples illustrate the range of tasks that developers are seeking to automate with agentic AI, including online transactions and specialized industrial operations.

Before publication, the complete list and the individual company claims should be checked against the original Forbes article.
