FORTNITE IS HEADED TO NEXT-GEN CONSOLES WITH PHOTOREALISM + CGI IMPROVEMENTS

Fortnite has just announced that it will be heading to next-generation consoles real soon. Fans need not worry, since this is the same Fortnite we all know and love, only now ready to take full advantage of the latest gaming technology improvements.

While the brand has not shared any specifics as of press, we are anticipating more powerful hardware that will allow fans to experience improved performance and visuals. Rumor has it that the next-gen console version of Fortnite will be built with Unreal Engine 4. Makers will then migrate Fortnite to Unreal Engine 5 in mid-2021. Fortnite has promised to share more specific details in the coming months closer to launch.

According to tech insiders, the incorporation of ‘Unreal Engine’ is aimed at achieving photorealism on par with movie CGI and real life.
