General Motors (GM) will recall 77,824 vehicles due to incorrect software in the transmission control module, which could cause unintended vehicle movement and increase crash risks.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall last week, Reuters reported.

The affected models include certain 2022-2023 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles.

According to the NHTSA, the faulty software may lead to reduced power, unintended deceleration, rear-wheel lockup, or unexpected directional movement. GM has committed to resolving the issue through necessary repairs.
