Gold hit a 15-week high as the precious metal continued its rally, with analysts pointing to the Treasury Department's decision to increase buybacks of long-dated government debt, Danielle Chemtob reported for Forbes Daily.

Bitcoin briefly topped $80,000 on Monday for the first time since May, while the cryptocurrency gained more than 25% over the previous week, helping lift other major tokens.
Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration cleared a new blood test developed by Roche and Eli Lilly to help identify signs associated with Alzheimer's disease in patients aged 55 and older.
The test is not intended to serve as a standalone diagnosis.
