The letter, which was furnished The Financial District, sought the help of DILG Undersecretary Nestor F. Quinsay, Jr., said that “the location of the fire exit violates the Building Code, the Fire Code and the village’s own GEVA Rules and Regulations concerning easements.
According to the letter, dated October 19, 2020, the said “BMW Showroom was recently constructed along Connecticut Street, corner Columbia and Florida Streets in our village. The BMW Showroom has a fire exit directly adjoining the perimeter wall of a resident of the village in gross violation of the required easements.”
Because of this, the village residents requested the DILG to “look into the matter; and the fire exit of the BMW Showroom be placed at the proper place to ensure the observance of the proper easements.”
