Iran’s top security body has announced the formation of a new organization to oversee operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said on X that the body would provide “real-time updates on the #Hormuz_Strait operations and latest developments,” The Independent reported.
Iran has reportedly restricted shipping through the vital strait since the United States and Israel attacked Tehran on February 28. A fragile ceasefire has reportedly been in place since April 8.
