Discussions between Iran and Japan are already underway, according to a transcript of Araghchi’s interview with Kyodo News. 


He said the issue was raised during a recent phone call with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi.


Speaking on a television program, Motegi declined to provide details but said the conversation emphasized that halting trade—including container shipments—would be detrimental.
