LeBron James Urges Americans: Vote Kamala Harris

National Basketball Association (NBA) star LeBron James endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president in a social media post, Maya Boddie reported for AlterNet.

James, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, wrote on X: “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”
His post also included a minute-long video showing comments made by Donald Trump over the years, ending with a quote across the screen: “Hate takes us back.”
The New York Times notes that James has long supported Democratic candidates. “In 2008, he hosted a free concert by Jay-Z in Cleveland in support of Barack Obama’s successful presidential bid.
He campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016, introducing her at a rally in Ohio and wrote an opinion essay supporting her campaign.” James has 53 million followers.
