Companies remain unsure how rising tensions between the U.S. and the rest of the world will affect earnings.
The maker of computer peripherals—including keyboards, webcams, and mice—pulled its full-year 2026 guidance “given the continuing uncertainty of the tariff environment,” it said, Elsa Ohlen reported for Barron’s Daily.
Delta Air Lines also scrapped its full-year 2025 guidance earlier this week. CEO Ed Bastian said growth has largely stalled due to economic uncertainty linked to trade policy.
Walmart—the world’s largest retailer, known for its low prices—also warned this week that a lack of clarity around tariffs adds to the uncertainty surrounding its profit outlook. To maintain its competitive pricing, Walmart may have to compromise on profitability if import taxes remain high.
Until there is more clarity about the future of global trade, more companies are expected to either revise or completely pull their short- and medium-term financial guidance.
