We may be entering a post-literate society, but plenty of technology executives and entrepreneurs are still writing books.

Among the latest authors are Zynga founder and entrepreneur Mark Pincus, author of Life at the Speed of Play, and LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky, author of Open to Work: How to Get Ahead in the Age of AI, Alexei Oreskovic reported for Fortune Tech.

But the book generating considerable attention is the forthcoming novel by MacKenzie Scott, the billionaire philanthropist and former wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Scott, who studied creative writing under novelist Toni Morrison at Princeton University and has previously published two novels, announced her latest work through her personal Substack.

The novel, titled Last Days in Two Nations (A History in Eighteen Minds), is an 80,000-word work that Scott plans to publish serially throughout August.

She has released preliminary material, including the title, table of contents, character list and epigraphs, while keeping details of the story largely under wraps.
