During a recent strategic business review session, Meralco outlined its plans to enhance infrastructure support for Ayala Land’s upcoming projects, solidifying a strong partnership aimed at bolstering the economy.

Meralco is set to build new substations within several Ayala Land developments, particularly in Circuit Makati and Parklinks Estate, which straddle Quezon City and Pasig City.

This move is part of Meralco’s strategic effort to ensure robust and reliable power supply for Ayala Land's burgeoning developments.

In attendance at the strategic session were Meralco First Vice President and Head of Networks Froilan J. Savet, Meralco Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ronnie L. Aperocho, Ayala Land President and CEO Anna Ma. Margarita B. Dy, Ayala Land Senior Vice President and Group Head-Central Land Acquisition Unit Robert S. Lao, Meralco Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Ferdinand O. Geluz, and Meralco First Vice President and Head of Customer Retail Services Charina P. Padua.

Anna Ma. Margarita B. Dy, President and CEO of Ayala Land, expressed her gratitude for the enduring partnership with Meralco.

“In Ayala Land, we are very fortunate that we are able to sell the product on the strength of the brand. The truth is, that promise comes with a lot of responsibility and for us to be able to carry this out, we need partners. I cannot overemphasize the importance of Meralco to our commitments to our customers - whether these are communities that are starting or communities that are already thriving,” she said.

Ferdinand O. Geluz, Meralco's Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the successful collaboration between Meralco and Ayala Land over the years.

“Meralco’s long-standing collaboration with Ayala Land resulted in many successful endeavors over the years. With the upcoming projects involving the construction of substations, Ayala Land will enable us to fulfill our commitment in helping our communities grow by providing reliable and adequate electric service to more customers,” he said.

Meralco Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ronnie L. Aperocho emphasized the importance of continuous communication with enterprise partners like Ayala Land.

“We, at Meralco, keep our lines of communication open with our enterprise partners such as Ayala Land. This enables continuous improvement and innovation in empowering not only our commercial customers but also businesses that support communities and power our economy,” he concluded.

Currently, Meralco operates six substations serving Ayala Land estates. Ayala Land consistently provides substation lot provisions for its developments, enabling Meralco to energize projects efficiently and promptly.
