This renewed partnership underscores Meralco's dedication to supporting RLC's ambitious real estate projects, aimed at enhancing the country's infrastructure and promoting sustainable development.

In a recent executive engagement, key officials from Meralco presented a comprehensive development plan to support the power requirements for RLC's existing and upcoming projects.

Highlighting this plan are two major projects set to be energized: Sierra Valley in Rizal and The Jewel in Mandaluyong City, both scheduled to be operational by 2026.

This strategic move ensures that these developments will benefit from Meralco's commitment to providing consistent and reliable electric service.

Lance Y. Gokongwei, President and CEO of RLC, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership: "We are excited to partner with Meralco to further our mission of promoting sustainable development. This partnership will enable us to provide our customers and residents with energy-efficient solutions that are both environmentally friendly and economically viable. Together, we are not only reaching significant milestones but also paving the way for future innovations and growth. Our commitment to excellence and sustainable development reaffirms our shared vision for a brighter, more resilient future."

Over the past five years, Meralco and RLC have collaborated on numerous initiatives aimed at operational efficiency and sustainability.

Notable projects include the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at the Nustar Resort and Casino through Meralco's solar subsidiary, MSpectrum.

Additionally, RLC leveraged Meralco’s sustainable mobility arm, Movem Electric, Inc., for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations at several Robinsons Malls in 2022.

These efforts underscore RLC's participation in the government’s Interruptible Load Program, with 10 Robinsons Malls contributing to demand-side management and helping prevent unplanned power interruptions for households and small businesses.

Meralco's Enterprise Commercial and Conglomerates group, through its dedicated relationship management team, ensures tailored services for top corporations and conglomerates like RLC.

This team focuses on providing world-class and innovative energy solutions, regularly reviewing business progress, identifying areas for enhancement, and aligning strategic efforts for mutual success.

“Meralco and RLC’s fruitful collaboration over the years takes center stage in our business review sessions. Aside from providing world-class and innovative energy solutions, our goal is to assess progress, identify areas for enhancement, and strategically align efforts towards shared success,” noted Meralco Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Ferdinand O. Geluz.

Meralco's commitment extends beyond business, as it actively invests in infrastructure projects that support the government’s nation-building efforts, particularly in energy security and infrastructure development.

This dedication aligns with the government’s socio-economic agenda, reinforcing the role of reliable energy in driving national progress.

“It is our mandate as the country’s largest distribution utility to provide utmost support and deliver exceptional service to our customers to drive success for businesses and communities, which play a significant role in propelling our growth as a nation,” emphasized Meralco Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ronnie L. Aperocho.

As Meralco and Robinsons Land Corporation continue their collaborative journey, their shared vision for sustainable development and innovative growth promises a brighter, more resilient future for the Philippines.

This partnership not only highlights the synergy between two industry leaders but also sets a benchmark for corporate cooperation in nation-building.
