Metro Retail Launches First Metro Home Improvement Store For Home Lovers And DIY Enthusiasts

Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI) has unveiled its first Metro Home Improvement Store, a pioneering addition to its famous line of store formats, which includes the Metro Supermarket, Metro Department Store, Super Metro Hypermarket, and Metro Value Mart.

The Metro Home Improvement Store, strategically located at the Marquee Mall in Angeles City, Pampanga, is designed to cater to people whose passion is improving their homes as well as to the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) enthusiasts who take pleasure in tinkering, the company disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).



Sprawled across a 1,000-square-meter area, the Metro Home Improvement Store offers a broad selection of items for lawn & garden, car care, pet care, appliances, electronics, hardware, housewares, and storage solutions, all organized in clearly marked sections for convenient shopping.


It features several exclusive brands and product lines, along with interactive displays and appliance demonstration areas, as well as key vendor partnerships and exclusive collaborations for regular promo offers and unique finds.



Manuel Alberto, Chief Operating Officer of Metro Retail Stores Group, emphasized, “This marks a monumental step as we introduce our first Metro Home Improvement store format, a key part of our aggressive expansion strategy.


This store represents our commitment to being a dependable partner for the hardworking moms and dads who strive to create the best lifestyle for their families.”



The new store’s formal opening ceremony was led by Mr. Alberto, along with Sherisa Nuesa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of MRSGI, and Rafael Quiambao, Area Head of North Malls at Ayala Land Malls Inc.


This addition brings the total number of Metro Retail stores to 64 branches spread across Luzon and the Visayas. MRSGI has set a goal to have a network of 160 stores by 2027.
