Microsoft Unveils New Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot

Microsoft has unveiled a redesigned version of Copilot that brings together workplace chat, coding and autonomous agent capabilities in a single platform.

The company said the new Copilot includes three main experiences: Home, Code and Autopilot. Home combines Chat and Copilot Cowork, while Code allows users to build applications and automations using natural language.

Autopilot is designed to operate as a persistent AI agent that can continue working on tasks on a user's behalf.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said user trust and control would be critical as AI systems take on increasingly autonomous tasks.

The company is also introducing different ways to pay for the service, including standard per-user plans and usage-based billing for more complex agentic work.

Microsoft said the redesigned Copilot is intended to bring AI-powered work, automation and application development into a single experience.
