MITSUBISHI ESTABLISHES FA BIZ

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has  announced today that it will establish the Philippine FA Center in Manila on the premises of its local subsidiary, MELCO Factory Automation Philippines Inc.

The new facility, which is scheduled to start operating on October 1, will strengthen servicing of Mitsubishi Electric factory automation (FA) products in the Philippines and thereby facilitate expansion of the company's local business in FA systems.

The Philippine FA market comprises of an expanding base of local and Japanese enterprise customers. Combined, these customers span diverse industries, including electrical and electronic, food and beverage, and automotive products, each requiring a wide range of services for FA products.

Until now, however, servicing of Mitsubishi Electric's FA products in the Philippines has been handled by the company's ASEAN FA Center (Singapore). To improve local access to timely service and support, the company has now decided to establish the Philippine FA Center, which will provide training, technical consultation and proactive proposals for system enhancements and upgrades to meet the rising expectations of local customers.
