The agreement, officially signed by key representatives from both companies—MSpectrum Head of Commercial Services Rodolfo B. Lim, Jr., MSpectrum President and CEO Ma. Cecilia M. Domingo, Excelitas Senior Director of Operations Enrique M. Sonoy, Jr., and Excelitas Senior HR Manager Nicasio A. Castillo, Jr.—marks a milestone in the collaborative efforts to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints within the manufacturing sector.
Under this partnership, MSpectrum will install a 116 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar facility at Excelitas’ Laguna plant, targeting completion by December 2024.
This project is projected to generate approximately 165,998 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean energy annually, enabling Excelitas to slash its carbon footprint by an estimated 118.2 metric tons.
This reduction is equivalent to planting over 5,430 trees or cutting down more than 470,000 kilometers of vehicle travel each year.
