Elon Musk claims Tesla will become bigger than Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet combined, thanks to Optimus, a humanoid robot he says will generate $10 trillion in revenue.

However, critics remain skeptical, arguing that Musk is once again making grandiose predictions, Anthony Di Pizio reported for Motley Fool.

Musk says several thousand Optimus robots will be deployed internally at Tesla this year. He envisions them being used in factories worldwide across various industries and eventually becoming popular in households for basic cleaning tasks.

He also predicts that humanoid robots will outnumber humans by 2040. Tesla plans to manufacture the robots at a cost of approximately $20,000 per unit, with an initial sale price of under $30,000.

That price is expected to decline over time as production scales and competitors enter the market.

He believes Optimus could generate over $10 trillion in revenue in the long run.

However, Musk has a history of making bold claims that fall short.

His Cybertruck has faced setbacks, Neuralink's progress remains uncertain, and The Boring Company has yet to deliver on its grand promises. His projection that Tesla’s vehicle deliveries would increase by 50% per year has not materialized, and the company’s stock has declined.
