Netherlands Keen On Supplying F-16 Fighter Jets To Ukraine

The Netherlands is “seriously considering” giving F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte telling journalists that warplanes are required for Kyiv to defend itself against the Russian invasion and cripple Moscow’s war machine, Kyiv Independent reported.

The Canadian Defense Ministry also announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, including ammunition and an expansion of the training programs for Ukrainian soldiers, the newspaper reported.
US Senator Lindsey Graham, meanwhile, met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on May 26 and called for supplying long-range ATACMS missiles and cluster munitions to Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine also disclosed.
German newspaper Der Spiegel has reported that Ukraine formally asked Germany to supply it with Taurus cruise missiles.
A German Defense Ministry spokesperson confirmed the request. CNN reported on May 26 that Iran likely ships drones to Russia through the Caspian Sea. Tehran is likely using the Caspian Sea shipping route to supply Moscow with weapon supplies, including the Shahed kamikaze drones.s
