NO FORCE, PERSON CAN STOP CHINA’S ADVANCE: XI JINPING

President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday that no person or force will stop China's march towards the construction of a modestly prosperous society and ratified the will to do whatever necessary to protect the people's life. 

Xi noted that amid the COVID-19 pandemic, some countries are betting on “selfishness, the search for scapegoats and confusing good as evil,” without considering the consequences of those actions, Xinhua quoted Xi as saying.

However, he pointed out that the fight against COVID-19 proves the strength accumulated since the establishment of the People's Republic of China nearly 71 years ago and the building of solid foundations to confront any “turbulent tide” with serenity, Prensa Latina reported on September 9, 2020. 

The process was characterized by prioritizing human life and proved that the socialist values and the country's culture motivate, help generate consensus and mobilize resources at times of crisis, Xi pointed out. He noted the gradual recovery of the economy, stressed the determination to speed up the establishment of an accommodated society and, mainly, win the battle against absolute poverty in 2020.
