Nvidia’s smallest supercomputer officially hit the market on Wednesday. The DGX Spark, which the company says delivers data center-class performance, features Nvidia’s GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, along with ConnectX-7 networking capabilities and a full software stack, Daniel Howley reported for Yahoo Finance.

The DGX Spark aims to give smaller businesses and developers access to powerful AI computing systems without requiring them to rent costly data center services or purchase full-scale AI servers.

The Spark is part of a new class of computers Nvidia is rolling out with third-party partners, including ASUS and Dell, allowing customers to develop and run AI models locally.

“In 2016, we built DGX-1 to give AI researchers their own supercomputer. I hand-delivered the first system to Elon [Musk] at a small startup called OpenAI—and from it came ChatGPT, kickstarting the AI revolution,” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said.

“DGX-1 launched the era of AI supercomputers and unlocked the scaling laws that drive modern AI. With DGX Spark, we return to that mission—placing an AI computer in the hands of every developer to ignite the next wave of breakthroughs.”
