Mary Ann Davidson, Oracle’s longtime security chief and one of the most senior women executives in the cybersecurity industry, is stepping down, Bloomberg News reported.

Meanwhile, Japan’s heavyweight AI investor SoftBank made a surprise move with a $2 billion purchase of Intel stock, as the U.S. chipmaker struggles to claw back relevance in the AI era.
Separately, a U.S. Justice Department official dismissed in July accused two former colleagues of “perverted justice” in the settlement of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s $13 billion takeover of Juniper Networks.
