Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation has launched its 24/7 National Problem Gambling Helpline (NPGH), strengthening efforts to promote responsible gaming and player protection.

The hotline, (02) 8248-9568, connects callers to trained counselors who provide confidential support and counseling for individuals facing gambling-related issues.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with Seagulls Flock Organization Inc..
In remarks delivered by Senior Vice President for Land-Based Operations Daniel Cecilio, PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco said the service aims to help both individuals experiencing gambling addiction and affected family members.
“This National Problem Gambling Helpline reflects PAGCOR’s commitment to ensuring that the gaming industry remains productive, well-governed, humane, and accountable,” Tengco said.
The helpline provides immediate assistance, psychological support, and referrals to treatment and rehabilitation centers through para-counselors and mental health professionals.
SFO Chairperson Teresita “Chit” Castillo described the hotline as the country’s first round-the-clock service dedicated to gambling-related harm. She said 12 para-counselors currently staff the service across three daily shifts, with plans to expand the team in the future.
Prior to the launch, counselors underwent training in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, clinical skills, and crisis response.
