A Twitter account falsely claiming that Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin had commented on a behind-the-scenes book written by US President Donald Trump's former National Security Adviser John Bolton is electrifying the twittersphere.

The book claims Trump once asked his chief of staff whether Finland was a part of Russia. "Prime Minister Marin has not at any point commented on matters related to John Bolton’s book. The tweet that spread in the US yesterday is not true," Päivi Anttikoski, a spokesman for the prime minister’s office said, Yle News reported on June 29, 2020.
On Saturday, a Twitter user calling herself Lin Peace suggested Marin to have wondered whether the US was under Russian control since January 20, 2017, the date Trump was inaugurated as president.
Helena Liikanen-Renger, press counselor at the Finnish Embassy in Washington D.C. quickly took to the microblogging platform on Saturday to rebut the tweet. The tweet has attracted some 120,000 likes and has been shared over 35,000 times.
