A new national survey shows President Donald Trump with a 30% job approval rating, while 66% of Americans disapprove of his performance, marking the lowest level recorded in the poll's recent trend, Newsweek reported.

The American Research Group survey, conducted from June 16 to 20, found that only three in 10 Americans approve of Trump's performance, reflecting growing concerns about the economy and the country's direction.
The results continue a months-long decline in the president's approval ratings and place him below the 40% threshold often viewed by political analysts as a warning sign ahead of midterm elections.
The poll also found that 73% of respondents believe the economy is worsening, while 65% said the United States is already in a recession.
Political analysts say the findings could influence campaign strategies for both Republicans and Democrats heading into the 2026 midterm elections.
