A new poll shows that the Atlanta debate has either helped or at least not harmed President Joe Biden's chances, Daniel Hampton reported for Raw Story.

The non-partisan group Political Polls shared a new general election poll Friday afternoon, revealing that Biden led Trump 45% to 44% post-debate. The previous poll "was a tie," the group noted on social media.
Other surveys showed that only 27% of Republicans watched the Biden-Trump debate, and 67% of respondents believed Trump performed better than Biden, who had a sore throat.
Trump was also aided by debate rules that did not allow CNN moderators Dana Bash and Jack Tapper to fact-check Trump, who made 15 major false statements during the 90-minute debate.
Trump also did not answer questions and spoke at length without being stopped by the moderators.
