PSE DOWN A BIT
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) declined a bit after an early rise that it was not able to sustain losing 11.05 points or 0.19 percent to close at 5,931.61 points.
Value turnover amounted to P5.628 billion with gainers ahead of decliners, 119 to 76 with 43 shares unchanged as the net foreign selling continued.
Dito, the third Telco, again managed to top the most active stock with transactions of P700.38 million as it's share price went up by 42 centavos to P6.16. Metro Pacific, which has been, a subject of a selldown was second most active at P414 million with its share price unchanged at P4.04.
Net foreign selling amounted to P676 million on foreign buying of P1.43 billion and foreign selling of P2.114 billion. Metro Pacific had foreign selling of P113 million followed by PLDT with P94 million.
Metrobank had foreign buying of P122 million that led to a gain in its share price by 45 centavos to P39.90, while Bank of PI, which had foreign selling of P58 million saw its share price lose 50 centavos to P64.50.
BDO Unibank also dropped by 15 centavos to P87.80 while Nickel Asia bannered the mining sector with an 8 centavos increase to P3.51.
