PSE DOWN AGAIN

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) declined today still dogged by the net foreign selling but there is a noticeable difference in foreign buying as the index closed marginally down, at 5,841.60 points down 19.79 percent or 0.34 percent.

Jollibee Foods, which have been in the radar of foreign selling has been going up as strong hands now have the food giant in their buying portfolio. With foreign buying of P91 million. Jollibee shares closed P5.70 higher to P144.80.


The financials went up by 0.69 per cent, industrial up 0.40 percent and mining and oil was up 0.43 per cent. The holding firms, services and property were down with value turnover at P5.673 billion. There were 88 gainers against 109 losers and 52 shares unchanged.


Net foreign selling amounted to P551 million with foreign selling of P2.810 billion and foreign buying of P2.258 billion. Of the selling, BDO Unibank accounted for P176 million while PLDT had P66 million. The others with foreign selling were PNB with P32 million, Ayala.Land with P52 million and SM Investments with P42 million.


Dito was the most active stock with P685 million as gained 50 centavos to P4.99 while Metrobank was the second most active stock closing 50 centavos to P38.75 Ayala REIT was up 10 centavos to P25.70.
