PSE UP A WEE BIT
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) was up a wee bit today in light trade, 5,909.32 points up 0..42 points or 0.007 percent with the property sector providing the only gain among the six sub sectors.
The property sector provided the lone gain up by 0.69 percent while the mining dropped by 0.76 per cent, services, down 0.66 percent, holding firms, down by 0.02 percent, industrials down 0.32 percent and financials, 0.29 percent.
Net foreign selling was still the order of the day with P551 million on foreign buying of P949 million and foreign selling of P1.15 billion. The telco stocks sizzled today.
Market bellwether SM Investments did not trade much as it rose by P7.50 to P879.50 buckling the foreign selling of P19 million.
The top active stock went to Now Corp which attained it's price freeze early on. Now had total trade of P535.3 million as it's share price hit P3.58, up 49.79 percent or P1.19. It had foreign buying of P24 million.
Dito was the second top traded stock going up by 36 centavos to P4.12 on value turnover of P497.2 million. It had foreign buying of P9 million.
Total transactions amounted to just P4.266 billion with 58 gainers, 138 losers and 42 shares unchanged. BDO Unibank saved the day for the financials trading higher by P1.10 to P90.10. Metrobank lost 35 centavos to P36.15 even with P6 million in foreign buying while Bank of PI, with foreign selling of P88 million went down by P1.30 to P64.20.
