The firm recently celebrated the addition of a distinguished group of new CPAs, including the top 1 and top 6 placers of the May 2024 CPA Licensure Exams.

This remarkable intake, highlighted by an oath-taking ceremony on July 29, 2024, also saw 90 CPAs joining the ranks, with 13 of them ranking within the top 11 to 20 of the same exams.

Notably, 32 of these new hires graduated with magna cum laude or cum laude honors, reflecting the high caliber of talent that RT&Co. continues to attract.

Roman Felipe S. Reyes, Chairman of RT&Co., shared insights into the firm's successful recruitment strategies. “We employ several key strategies to attract top-tier accounting professionals,” he said.

“These include competitive compensation, robust growth opportunities, a supportive work environment, a focus on work-life balance, and strong educational partnerships. Our commitment to professional development, meaningful on-the-job training, and a culture of collaboration makes RT&Co. an appealing choice for top talent.”

Beyond strengthening its accounting and finance teams, RT&Co. is making significant strides in cybersecurity.

The firm has onboarded 90 IT engineers through its alliance company, RT&Co. Cybersecurity, to enhance its capabilities in this critical sector.

This strategic move aligns with RT&Co.'s broader vision of offering integrated financial and cybersecurity solutions, positioning the firm as a leader in providing comprehensive and innovative services.

“We aim to add the most value to our clients and the broader Philippine society. In a digitally interconnected world, businesses and governments face new challenges, including digital threats and rapid technological advancements. Our all-Filipino cybersecurity and resiliency teams are equipped to help clients navigate these complexities, ensuring long-term value generation and resilience,” Reyes explained.

The integration of cybersecurity expertise has been well-received by the market.

Reyes credits this market success to the collaborative efforts between their IT engineers, CPAs, lawyers, and management consultants. “We are not a traditional accounting firm. Our goal is to be a multidisciplinary professional services firm that can provide innovative solutions to our clients' needs,” he emphasized.

With this latest roster of high-achieving hires, RT&Co. continues to build on its legacy of excellence, setting new standards in the industry. The firm’s proactive recruitment and strategic initiatives signal a promising future and an impressive trajectory that the industry should watch closely.

Founded in May 2010, RT&Co. has grown into one of the most trusted professional service firms in the Philippines. Led by Chairman Roman Felipe S. Reyes and Chief Operating Officer Protacio T. Tacandong, the firm is renowned for its commitment to excellence and professionalism.

With over 1,200 professionals, including top honor students and licensure exam top-notchers, RT&Co. continues to uphold its reputation as the country’s fastest-growing professional services firm.
