The theme park will feature a towering 70-meter (229.6-ft) dragon at its core, accompanied by at least 30 rides, according to the project's developers. It marks the world's inaugural theme park dedicated to the renowned media franchise.
Originating in 1984, the Dragon Ball comic series chronicles the adventures of a young protagonist named Son Goku in his quest to collect magical dragon balls granting superpowers.
Regarded as one of the most influential and top-selling Japanese comics of all time. While the announcement generated excitement among some fans, others expressed concerns regarding Saudi Arabia's human rights record.
Spanning over half a million square meters, the park is part of a long-term strategic partnership between Qiddiya Investment Co. (QIC) and Toei Animation, the Japanese production company behind Dragon Ball.
