Secret Service officials are reportedly upset with FBI Director Kash Patel for publicly announcing that the FBI had disrupted an alleged plot targeting President Donald Trump's UFC Freedom 250 event before all arrests had been completed, Ariana Baio and Josh Marcus reported for The Independent.

According to reports, officials learned Tuesday morning that Patel had posted on X about the operation, praising the FBI's role in thwarting the alleged attack and arresting several suspects.
Patel also thanked the Department of Justice and other law enforcement partners involved in the investigation.
However, not all suspects had been apprehended and the case remained under seal at the time of the announcement, reportedly angering Secret Service officials who led the investigation, sources told MSNBC.
Matt Quinn, deputy director of the Secret Service, appeared to allude to the controversy during a Tuesday news conference.
"I'll tell you a phrase I learned early in my career in the New York field office, and that's, 'Don't choke on your own smoke,'" Quinn said.
Quinn added that the Secret Service had led the investigation from the beginning and deliberately avoided disclosing details publicly in order to preserve the integrity of the ongoing case.
