Strengthening the PNP Through the P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030
The PNP Maritime Group’s Advisory Council is a vital partner in implementing the P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030, a strategic roadmap aimed at transforming the PNP into a competent, effective, and credible institution by 2030.
The plan focuses on reforms in police operations, community engagement, resource management, institutional development, and technology upgrades.
Through collaboration with multi-sectoral leaders like Ms. del Rosario, the Advisory Council offers:
External insights and recommendations on policy priorities
Strategic advice on program implementation
Resource generation assistance to meet long-term goals
As MPIF President, Ms. del Rosario brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to environmental advocacy.
Her leadership in Shore It Up!—MPIF’s flagship program that engages coastal communities in sustainable marine resource development and restoration—aligns with the PNP MG’s mission to strengthen the country’s maritime domain, ensure safety, and protect natural resources.
Driving Progress Through Collaboration
In her statement, Ms. Melody del Rosario expressed her optimism: "It is an honor to contribute to the PNP Maritime Group’s initiatives. MPIF has long advocated for environmental sustainability through programs like Shore It Up!. Joining the Advisory Council allows us to further this advocacy into maritime safety and development, building a stronger connection between protecting our waters and ensuring the security of those who depend on them for livelihood."
The MG AGPTD plays a pivotal role in evaluating the PNP Maritime Group’s ongoing strategies and recommending improvements to:
Enhance public trust
Boost operational efficiency
The Advisory Council also tackles critical challenges such as:
The effects of climate change on maritime resources
The impact of global economic shifts
Advancements in technology affecting maritime security
Through collaborative efforts, Council members develop innovative solutions, improve governance, and secure additional resources to sustain and enhance PNP MG programs.
Bridging Corporate Social Responsibility and National Development
MPIF, as the corporate social responsibility arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, has long championed initiatives that empower communities and preserve the environment.
By joining the Advisory Council, Ms. del Rosario aligns MPIF’s advocacy for sustainable development with the national effort to enhance maritime security.
This collaboration demonstrates how public-private partnerships can address societal challenges and achieve long-term development goals. It highlights MPIF’s commitment to contributing to the greater good through programs that strengthen communities, protect natural resources, and support national progress.
