Traditionally focused on affordable apparel and home goods, the platforms now aim to capture a share of the $108.7 billion global toy market. Shein reported double-digit growth in toy sales, highlighting the category’s popularity among its offerings.

However, both platforms face scrutiny over counterfeit goods.

Regulators and consumer product makers have raised concerns about fake products being sold on their sites, an issue that could hinder their expansion into toys and other premium markets.

Both companies are positioning themselves as digital dollar stores, appealing to budget-conscious consumers seeking discounts during the holiday season.
