Swedish bearings maker SKF said it had agreed to sell its non-core aerospace operation in Elgin, Illinois, to Carco PRP Group for an estimated enterprise value of $70 million, Reuters reported.

SKF said in a statement the sale of its precision elastomeric device (PED) unit is part of a strategy to focus on core aerospace operations and exit non-strategic businesses.
The company also supports suppliers of defense equipment, aircraft manufacturers, and capital goods producers.
