During the Worldbex 2024 building and construction exposition in Pasay City, Shera country head Thunnop Jumpasri disclosed that the construction plant will occupy a two-hectare property in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
The facility will initially produce 100,000 metric tons annually, with the potential to double capacity in the future. The plant's opening will create job opportunities for 120 to 150 workers.
Jumpasri stated, “We plan to expand to other countries, but the Philippines is our first facility outside Thailand. We are confident because we understand the market here.”
Shera’s sales in the Philippines last year reached PHP1.5 billion, with expectations to grow by 10 to 15 percent. With the factory's establishment, Shera aims to introduce sustainable and eco-friendly construction products to the Philippine market, catering to establishments, buildings, and houses seeking green solutions.
Installation began in 2023, and the company targets completion of the plant this year. Shera also plans to capitalize on business opportunities in the Philippines, particularly with the government's infrastructure program and private sector construction projects.
Jumpasri added, “We plan to export to other countries from the Philippines to Taiwan, Korea, and some parts of China, but we prioritize the Philippines first for now.”
