At least three men, two of them disguised as construction workers, broke into a New York City home and drove off with a safe and jewelry worth more than $3 million, authorities said, David K. Li reported for NBC News.

The daring heist occurred in the Jamaica Hills neighborhood of Queens, police said.
The burglars “forcibly” opened a rear door of the home and, once inside, removed a safe and jewelry valued at approximately $3.2 million, according to an NYPD statement.
They were last seen fleeing east on 84th Drive in a blue Hyundai Elantra, as shown on surveillance footage.
One of the men was described by police as “wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, a neon construction vest, a white construction hat, protective eyewear, and carrying a black backpack.”
A second man wore “a black sweatshirt, black pants, gray sneakers, a neon construction jacket, a white construction hat, protective eyewear, a black face covering, and carried a black backpack,” police said.
The third suspect, who served as the getaway driver, wore “a white hoodie, black pants, gray sneakers, and black gloves,” and was seen behind the wheel of the blue Hyundai Elantra, officials said.
