Trump Approval Stands at 34% in Latest Angus Reid Survey

President Donald Trump's approval rating stood at 34% in a new Angus Reid USA survey, while 61% of respondents said they disapproved of his performance.

The survey of 1,205 American adults, conducted Sept. 19-25, found that Trump's support remained strongest among respondents who identified with the MAGA movement.

Ninety-four percent of MAGA Republicans said they approved of his performance.

Among non-MAGA Republicans, 59% approved and 38% disapproved of Trump's performance.

Among independents, 72% disapproved, while 92% of Democrats disapproved.

The survey was conducted as the 2026 midterm elections approached. Angus Reid USA said its sample was representative of members of the Angus Reid Forum USA.

The firm said a probability sample of 1,205 people would have a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. AAA data showed the national average price of regular gasoline at about $4.43 per gallon on Sept. 30, while diesel averaged about $6.41.
