President Trump went to Capitol Hill on Tuesday night to deliver his fourth State of the Union address — and his sixth speech to a joint session of Congress — since first taking office.

The one-hour-and-48-minute speech was the longest such address in history, Andrew Romano reported for Yahoo Finance.
“Our nation is back: bigger, better, richer and stronger than ever before,” Trump declared at the start of his speech.
“This is the golden age of America.”
Polls show his job-approval rating at 38%, while 58% of Americans disapprove of how he is managing the economy and the federal government. The speech unfolded amid sharp partisan tensions, with Democrats heckling at times and some Republicans withholding applause.
Prices remain elevated. Grocery prices are up about 2.1% over the past year, while interest rates remain high.
Trump floated several proposals, including tax cuts on tips and overtime pay; tax-free “Trump accounts” for every child; the TrumpRx web portal for prescription drug discounts; an executive order banning large Wall Street investment firms from buying thousands of single-family homes; and a plan to match 401(k) contributions up to $1,000 per year.
His disapproval rating has climbed to 58%, with 55% of Americans saying he is focused on issues they consider less important, compared with 35% who say he is focused on their top concerns.
Chief among those concerns is the cost of living.
