A new trade deal between U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has officially taken effect, Reuters reported.

The 10% tariff on aircraft engines and parts has been fully removed.
The agreement significantly lowers tariffs on key British exports: car manufacturers will now face a reduced 10% tariff—down from 27.5%—while the 10% tariff on aircraft engines and parts has been fully removed.
However, the two sides have not yet resolved the issue of steel and aluminum tariffs.
The U.K. has so far avoided the up to 50% tariffs imposed on other nations but may face those penalties after July 9 unless a separate agreement is reached. London said it is “continuing to work toward 0% tariffs on core steel products” as part of its long-term trade goals.
