While it remains unclear if these munitions include the sought-after Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), Ukraine has been requesting these longer-range missiles to expand its strike capabilities against Russian targets.

The package also includes anti-personnel landmines designed to hinder Russian and North Korean forces. President Joe Biden has pledged to allocate all approved military aid funds for Ukraine before leaving office on January 20, 2025.

Speculation surrounds the incoming Trump administration’s stance on the conflict, as President-elect Trump has expressed intentions to end the war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently suggested that offering NATO membership to territories under Kyiv’s control could help resolve the active conflict.
